Triggered perhaps by the burgeoning market share of the Toyota Innova, Mahindra plans to enter the MUV segment soon. Mahindra has confirmed that they plan to enter soon with a rival to the Japanese car; It was also revelealed that this car will have an all new engine and platform.
Although the Mahindra Scorpio is already occupying this price bracket, Mahindra plans to introduce this segment in order to cater to the utility buyer, who is not looking for SUV looks, or off-road adventures, but more at a big family car for everyday use. This will help mahindra move beyound its bread and butter Mahindra Scorpio
This is a burgeoning segment and the Innova has now captured buyers thanks to some discounts along with major schemes for those who are availing loans on the purchase of the car. New is that we will see an all aluminium 4 cylinder 2200cc CRDi Turbocharged engine running 4 valves per cylinder and able to produce 140Bhp.
